Abstract
This paper demonstrates a repair of a tibia fracture forinternal fixation with open intramedullary using 3Dcomputer graphic (CG) animation by designing a tibiamodel and medical equipments. The objective in thiswork is to teach medical students or interested persons. The methods can be described as follows. MAYAprogram is in order to create a design of the tibia modeland medical equipments, and to transfer the model intoanimation of the repaired tibia fracture. The MAYAprogram sets one frame: one file and exports to OBJ file.Next, 3DS MAX program import the OBJ file, exports to3DS file and then collects the 3DS file in the directory. The next step is to design and to link the interfaceprogram, and then to connect between tibia fracturemodel and graphic user interface (GUI) using C++language. Testing and surveying such program by 30medical students reveal that the program is easy tounderstand the principle of repaired tibia fracture. Inaddition, the program can be used as instructional mediavery effectively.
