The value chain model consists of primary activities. The primary activities are inbound logistics, operations, outbound logistics, customer service, marketing and sales. The support activities are firm infrastructure, human resources management, technology development and procurement. Both primary and support activities are interlinked to support each other. The middle stage activities (the value added conversations) are developmental, the rice quality product development for export and rice logistics development of rice products, Lastly, the final activities (marketing system development) are the acceleration in rice product competitiveness and rice product promotion.
