Abstract
The objectives of this research were to assess the multimedia computer-assisted instruction on the “AC analysis of transistor circuits” by comparing a learning achievement before and after taking the developed multimedia computer-assisted instruction. Included was the comparison of students’ achievement between normal teaching method with computer-assisted instruction learning, and the assessment of the satisfaction of students with the multimedia computer-assisted instruction. The samples used in this study were Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering students, Faculty of Industrial Education, Rajamangala University of Technology, Nonthaburi Campus. Twenty-five students enrolled in the Electronic Circuits Analysis course for semester 2/2011. The simple random sampling technique was used to divide applicants into two groups, a control and an experimental group. The control group was taught with normal teaching methods, while the experimental group received the multimedia computer-assisted instruction. In this research study, the multimedia computer-assisted instruction, achievement test and questionnaire were used for collecting the data. For data analysis of statistics, difficulty, discrimination, validity, reliability, percentage, means, standard deviation, paired t-test and independent t-test were employed. The results of this research showed that the efficiency of multimedia computer-assisted instruction on the ac analysis of transistor circuits was 80.27/80.83. The average achievement of students after studying with multimedia computer-assisted instruction was higher than that of before using it at the statistical significant level of .05. Also. the average achievement of students learning with multimedia computer- assisted instruction was higher than that of normal teaching methods at the statistical significant level of .05. Furthermore. the student satisfaction toward the multimedia computer-assisted instruction was at a high level, both overall and in each aspect of satisfaction.
