Abstract
The objective of this study is to investigate whether the movement of exchange rates between Thai bath against those of ASEAN and G-7 countries follow the principle of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP). The investigation is conducted in two approaches, namely the traditional approach and the new approaches which is developed from the proposal of Sercu Uppal and Huller (1995). Under the light of the later, the transportation cost and tariff are taken into consideration in the analysis.
