Abstract
Residual analysis is used to check the assumptions of regression analysis by examining the graphs, which are plotted between residuals versus fitted values, independent variables and times. It also includes a graph of the Normal Probability Plot. If no assumptions are violated. then the graphs. which are plotted between residuals versus fitted values. independent variables and times. should be randomly distributed around their mean of zero and the graph of Normal Probability Plot should be along a diagonal line.
