Abstract
The objective of this study is to explain employer’s expectations of Information technology competencies in accounting graduates, which consists of 4 itemscomprising knowledge of computer, competency in computer, competency in usingapplication software packages and competency in using accounting software packages. The sample size is 1993 employers of limited companies in Bangkok. Questionnaires and individual interviews were used for data collection. The content analysis, frequency andpercentile were used for data analysis. The study results indicate that employers’ overallexpectation of accounting graduates is at a high and exceptionally good level. Competencyin computer operation, application software and accounting software are similarly ata high level. In addition, knowledge of computers is at an exceptionally good level.
