Abstract
The objective of this research was to evaluate the efficiency of 9 Thai commercial banksby using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method from 3 models: CCR (Charnes,Cooper, and Rhodes, 1978: 429-444), BCC (Banker, Charnes, and Cooper, 1984:1078-1092,†which included Jahanshahloo and others (2007: 331-337)), and RCCR(Andersen and Petersen, 1993: 1261-1264). From the inputs and outputs reported byPoomthan Rangkakulnuwat (2550: 129-138), it was†found that the CCR and RCCRmodels demonstrated the same result.†The most efficient is Asia Bank Public CompanyLimited, the second is TMB Bank Public Company Limited, and the third one is KrungThai Bank Public Company Limited. The BCC model, however, demonstrated differentresults: the most efficient is TMB Bank Public Company Limited, the second is BangkokBank Public Company Limited, and the third one is Asia Bank Public Company Limited.
