Abstract
Most businesses use information systems (IS), such as accounting systems, sales order systems, purchase order systems, financial systems and human resources management systems to support business management and reduce employee work loads. However, these ISs aren't specifically designed to exchange documents among business partners. So, electronic data interchange (EDI) was designed to solve the problems, such as duplicate documents, delay documents, error document management, and so on. At present, EDI has been improved to transfer data over the internet and is called WEB-EDI. While WEB-EDI isn't well-known in Thailand, it's worth studying WEB-EDI's processing capabilities to realize its benefits and to consider using WEB-EDI to improve business.
