Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study the level of knowledge and understandingof the Computer Related Crime Act. B.E. 2550 (2007) among 202 informationtechnology graduate students of private universities in Bangkok Metropolis. Theinstruments utilized in this research fall into two categories, questionnaire and testing,which examine students’ knowledge and understanding of Chapter 1 Computer-Related Offences and Chapter 2 Competent Officials of the Computer Crime Act B.E.2550 (2007). The collected data were analyzed by software SPSS using the t-testand Chi-square for the percentage, mean, and standard deviations with a level of significance of 0.05 for the questionnaire, and analyzed by TAP software with thedifficulty index and discrimination index for the quality of the test.The results from this research reveal that, (1) Most students have a moderate levels ofknowledge and understanding about the Computer Crime Act B.E 2550, and theaverage of tests in Chapter 1. Computer-Related Offences is greater than the averagein Chapter 2. Competent Officials, (2) Most students have never participated in trainingor seminars on the Computer Related Crime Act, (3) Most of the sample’s universitycourses do not include this Act, (4) Most students want a course that relates to thisAct, and (5) The study found that the students learned most of their information andknowledge relating to this Act first from the website, followed by television.
