Abstract
This survey research aimed to study the style and important components of a travel exhibition related to purchasing decision making on domestic travel of Thai tourists. It investigated the opinions of 400 Thai tourists who participated in a travel exhibition organised in Bangkok. The results of this research showed that place, parking lots, travel business images, sales persons, and sales promotions greatly influenced to a purchasing decision made on domestic travel by Thai tourists. Most tourists had some perception of the travel information and tour package from the media, television and the Internet especially those who preferred to travel with their family on holidays. The research findings indicated that organisers shouled focus on the following: 1) planning of place, mapping and parking lots 2) increasing public relations for enhancing travel business images 3) running sales promotion for family packages and 4) enhancing sales people's politeness and human relationships. Besides, the government administrators and officers should implement an upgraded quality and standards of tourism. A policy of tourism promotion should have new destinations in potential localities, and simultaneously create a domestic tourism campaign through Thais in corporation with private sectors and other organizations.
