ปัจจุบันคอมพิวเตอร์เข้ามามีบทบาทต่อภาคธุรกิจโดยเฉพาะธุรกิจการธนาคาร ที่ไม่มีใครสามารถปฏิเสธเทคโนโลยีที่เรียกกันทั่วไปว่าคอมพิวเตอร์ นั่นคือเครื่องมือที่แทรกซึม เข้าไปอยู่ในระบบการทำงานตลอดจนรายละเอียดของผู้ปฏิบัติและผู้รับบริการหรือลูกค้าของธนาคารอยู่เป็นปัจจุบันการบริหารจัดการโครงการพัฒนาซอฟต์แวร์ (Software Project Management)
