Abstract
The Purposes of this research were to study the effect of authoritativeparenting style and social support on prosocial behavior with mediating effect ofempathy. Participants were 500 undergraduate students, completed measures ofauthoritative parenting styles, social support, prosocial behavior and empathy.The results are as follows :1. Authoritative parenting styles has not the effects on prosocial behavior.2. Social support has the effects on prosocial behavior (p < .01).3. Empathy has not the mediating effect between authoritative parentingstyles and prosocial behavior.4. Empathy has not the mediating effect between social support andprosocial behavior.
