dc.description.abstractToday companies face many critical challenges with respectto supply chain management. One of these challengesis the close cooperation between supply chainpartners, exacerbating the risk exposure of companies in asupply chain.In this paper, a framework for supply chain risk managementis developed. Starting from theoretical risk classifications,companies’ risk assessment and the description ofcompanies’ supply chains, suitable supply chain riskmanagement strategies are discussed using the results ofan explorative empirical study. One approach of howcompanies can deal with supply chain risk management isdescribed to give recommendations for companies.
