Abstract: A detection of DNA fingerprint is presentedthrough the use of image processing based on medicalknowledge. In this method, a DNA testing’s performersubmits a DNA print to scan by a commercial program tofind family inheritance relationship. The first step beginsby converting the DNA print to binary code then reducesthe size of binary image to be 45×26 pixels. For the nextstep, the DNA print is compared by the use of templatematching to prove a matched position of DNA bar. Incomparison, the DNA testing is based on the medicalcondition and regulation. In the experimental results forforty samples, the accuracy of human biologicalrelationship is indicated at 95% of correction and 5% of nocorrection.
