Due to the effect of social and economic changes on HRD in this era, interest incareer development has increased significantly. This paper proposes roles for bothorganizations and individuals to address contemporary career development issues. Inan uncertain work environment, an organization should assist employees in achievingcareer development in terms of employability, psychological contracts, and intrinsicand extrinsic rewards.
