Abstract
This paper gives a comparison of Johnson’s Rule andTOC based scheduling methodologies. Johnson’s Rulescheduling methodology is a step procedure while TOCbased scheduling methodology is only concept. Thispaper shows a comparison of these two concepts ofscheduling methodologies. A numerical example is given.Based on the numerical example, it shows that Johnson’sRule is simple but limited; while TOC based scheduling ismore difficult but providing more alternatives in jobsequencing.
